Rekindling
"What good is creativity if you can't churn it out?" That was a quote hanging in an art director's cubicle where I once worked. It was silly, but it was 100% spot on. You can't be creative without creating... something.
I'm not going to bore you with the "oh, I'm still here making art" promise I made before, but Iam going to try will be painting more. Starting this weekend. But like exercise, it's a lapsed habit I want to will correct.
Part of that habit will come in the form of sharing work like this...

I want to thank all of you for sticking around and providing encouragement. Let's rekindle this fire.

Weighing In

Pedro
I committed myself to one painting per week, but there's nothing wrong with finishing two. Pedro, our Chihuahua, has one of the most expressive faces I've ever seen on a dog and I tried to capture that. This is actually the second painting I've finished of him, the first was for our perpetual calendar (below.)
