Rekindling

"What good is creativity if you can't churn it out?" That was a quote hanging in an art director's cubicle where I once worked. It was silly, but it was 100% spot on. You can't be creative without creating... something.

I'm not going to bore you with the "oh, I'm still here making art" promise I made before, but I am going to try will be painting more. Starting this weekend. But like exercise, it's a lapsed habit I want to will correct.

Part of that habit will come in the form of sharing work like this...

... and this.

I want to thank all of you for sticking around and providing encouragement. Let's rekindle this fire.

It's Showtime Folks!

I may have been quiet online lately, but that doesn't mean the art has stopped. This weekend and next weekend are the two biggest weekends on Delaware's art show calendar. The Rehoboth Art League is a quiet escape in the nation's summer capital. Under the pines and away from the beach crowds this juried show not only features many of Delaware's most well known artists, but embraces you with 3.5 acres of ample natural beauty.

Tent Location: Booth #3 - This is a new spot for me and it's in front of the historic Homestead.

1st Weekend: Saturday & Sunday, August 8 & 9, 2014 (rain or shine)
2nd Weekend:
Saturday & Sunday, August 16 & 17, 2014 (rain or shine)

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturdays, 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. Sundays

I know, I know. It's been too long. I haven't dropped off of the face of the Earth, I've just been busy with non-art (read, not cool) work and it's been hard to carve out the necessary time. That means for  twenty minutes here or a thirty minutes there I've been scratching my visual art-creation itch through sketching. Below are a few of the pieces from my sketchbook.
